I dream in blue.

Most of the things I see around me are blue: the curtains, the background of the clock, the whisk’s handle, piled up polaroids, that latex mask under my bed.

I was twenty when I realized how distant things were. I was living differently. I tried to go to sleep early, with my  thoughts tamed, tied together & laced up with a cerulean blue bow.

When I wake up in the middle of the night a navy blue engulfs my sleep, my body, my sheets. Deepsea. I am awake now.

Often I write empires of senses while I sip coffee in the morning. Saw saliva on the pillowcase / undone bed. The sun is rising again and I’m standing in my bathroom, in front of the mirror. Hot yellow light ON, dusty shadows everywhere. I grab a brush and put on a little makeup. Eyeshadow today - royal blue.

Dreamt of being a donkey. A wave crashing. I am a pile of newspapers and magazines. An overloaded fridge. A packed table with things discardable — a little empty square to eat it's all I have left. Van Gogh’s sunflowers, shells and VHS everywhere. A fuse that detonates. Morality is a dissolute & pretentious idea.
Ambiguity is a pale turquoise blue, and I dream of IT.

Here we go again. Here, here, here, there, here, there again— I am in my thirties now and I’m not hungry yet.
It’s 12:00 —that’s what it says.
This is not a race. It's night blue.
